Documenting office life

This style of photography is becoming increasingly popular as companies endeavour to increase transparency and give the outside world a glimpse into what makes them tick. As opposed to the ‘office lifestyle’ shots which are more directed, composed and lit with portable flash, with fly-on-the-wall photography I try to make myself as unobtrusive as possible, using available light. These shots often work well in black and white, which both lends more of a documentary feel to the images, and also avoids the issue of uncontrolled mixed office lighting creating unflattering colour casts.
